RAM Racing and its timing company, EnMotive, are collaborating to produce the Vancouver America Marathon that is scheduled for June 2, 2019. The event will cater to new and seasoned long distance runners looking to finish their first marathon or qualify for the Boston Marathon. Both companies have gained national attention as race production leaders in the industry, and are ready to restore race integrity, organization, and innovation to the Pacific Northwest after Energy Events and the Vancouver USA Marathon struggled to meet expectations in previous years.
RAM Racing started as a race production company for Chicagoland races over a decade ago and the local success propelled RAM Racing’s CEO, Steve Ginsburg, to produce the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k race series. The series has garnered nationwide prestige and international attention for their efficient packet pickup, well-organized courses, and goodie bags and medals, which have earned multiple industry awards (Competitor’s - Best Goodie Bag, Runners World – Top Race, Goodie Bag and Medal, Bib Rave’s – 6 of the top 100 races nationwide). There are currently 17 Hot Chocolate 15k/5k races across the United States with over 200,000 annual participants. The success of these races is attributed to RAM Racing’s history of producing over 100 races for over a 1,00,000 runners over the last 17 years to RAM’s “World Major Marathon Caliber” quality levels. Additionally, RAM Racing’s EnMotive division brings innovative chip timing and runner tracking technology, which efficiently helps race directors deliver accurate results and resources to their participants in one seamless online platform. Live chip timing and tracking capabilities, instant photos, and intuitive social sharing options makes race day a positive, memorable experience for every runner.
The services and technological advancements that EnMotive offers its clients is continuously gaining recognition as more race directors and companies are choosing EnMotive to manage their events. Oregon-based race company, AASports LLC, was launched in 1989 by Jon and Carol Atherton and has managed over 100 events in the Pacific Northwest. In 2017, EnMotive acquired AASports and have been working with the Athertons and key AASports staff to strengthen and develop their existing races.
In an effort to keep its running community alive, the city of Vancouver, Washington has chosen RAM Racing to produce this new event. The increased foot traffic from the event will strengthen the local economy and put Vancouver on the map as a scenic, destination race that will inspire endurance athletes. RAM Racing and EnMotive are confident that the inaugural Vancouver America Marathon will be a successful event as all RAM events are USATF-certified with all its courses certified for accuracy. This ensures that the Vancouver America Marathon is a Boston qualifying event. By producing their ideal vision of a well-organized race, RAM Racing and EnMotive hope that it will lift the spirits of Pacific Northwest runners in order for them to attain their running goals.
